• London’s fantastic South Bank Centre always has free musical performances to enjoy while sipping a drink from the spacious bar area. It will also host the Coin Street Festival this year so visitors will see even more entertainers milling around the place than usual.

• Catch a free West End show over the West End Live event taking place in Leicester Square on 20 and 21 June.

• The Globe theatre is offering free performances of Shakespeare classics such as Romeo and Juliette on 13 June. The event follows its extensive restoration.

• The Scoop near City Hall is offering free fitness classes throughout the summer and will also host a range of events and parties such a dance, music and film performances.

• Throughout June the Story of London festival will be hosting lots of free events around the city, telling the story of the history of the majestic capital city.

• If festivals and parties are more your thing, most of London’s parks are hosting huge music events this summer. Some are free or charge very little for entry.
