The most popular time for a Christmas party is during the opening two weeks of December, a new report suggests.
Days between December 1st and 14th are the prime dates for festive celebrations, but many retailers postpone until January due the busyness of the month, reports Pacific Business News.
Michael Miller, the marketing manager at Tiki's Grill Bar in Waikiki, suggests that employees now "expect" a Christmas party.
"If you don't have one, they [employees] get disappointed and ask why you had one last year but not this year," Mr Miller said.
Businesses can pay reduced rates if they choose an unpopular date or a lunchtime party, he added.
The second and third weeks of December are expected to be the busiest times for online Christmas shopping, according to web retail analysts Hitwise.
However, web-marketing firm Global Media suggests the top high-street retailers are not sufficiently utilising the internet for Christmas shopping sales this year.
