Stars out in force at Serpentine Gallery’s London summer party

The celebrity fashionistas were all out in their best frocks in London’s Kensington Gardens last night, as the Serpentine Gallery threw open its door for its annual summer party.

The bash was like a who’s who of Heat Magazine with old favourites of the London party scene, such as Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, rubbing shoulders with newbies like Little Boots and Jo Wood.

Despite the cool weather the attendees were all in their summer outfits for the party, which is seen by many as the highlight of the summer celebrity party calendar. It’s often used as an excuse to show off some of the summer’s hottest outfits.

Highlights included a Matthew Williamson dress worn by actress Thandie Newton, while Topshop seems to remain the high street lovers’ store of choice, with Paloma Faith, Poppy Delevigne and Jade Parfitt all decked out in the bargain option.

Other stylish guests included NERD’s Pharrell Williams – never one to miss an opportunity to party with a room full of beautiful women- while models Erin O’Connor and Jacquetta Wheeler chatted to singers Nathalie Imbruglia and Roisin Murphy.

Caprice let the side down with a bright orange suit, while Meg Matthews added to countless previous fashion mistakes with her take on a body-con dress.
