Spalding is throwing a big Christmas party for all its residents tonight.
Stalls in Spalding's Market Place will provide hot food, sweets, cakes and other seasonal goodies to revellers, while live stage performers will please the crowd with festive entertainment including the Polka Dot panto players, the South Holland Singers and the Kirton Brass Band.
As adults enjoy a late night shopping event, children's rides will be available in the Market Place and Polka Dot panto players, South Holland Singers and Kirton Brass Band will take turns to perform on stage.
Live stage entertainment will commence with Spalding School of Dance, followed by ACT II.
Father Christmas will be inviting children to see him in his grotto at the Westlode Street bowling alley Alleycatz before he greets the crowds on his sleigh with South Holland Flower Queen Katie Morton and deputy Tasmin White.
Katie will then switch on the Christmas lights with a light plunger created by technology students at Spalding Grammar School.
Officials in Spalding hope the Christmas party will boost consumer spending in the town's shops as well as continue an annual tradition.
