Some 63.5 per cent of singletons over the age of 30 say that the best Christmas present they could receive would be to find love, a new survey suggests.
Furthermore, 45 per cent of single people in the age group have resigned themselves to being single during the Christmas party season, according to bed specialist Silentnight, Female First reports.
Silentnight gathered the opinions and personal details of 3,000 people in a survey which also revealed that those in their 30s are the loneliest age group.
Findings from the bed company also show that London, Manchester and Cardiff are the loneliest cities, with 40, 35 and 31 per cent of people in these respective destinations planning on spending the party period alone.
Last week, partygoers were urged to head to more parties over the festive period in order to boost their chances of finding a New Year's Eve date, according to dating expert It's Just Lunch.
