If you want to celebrate New Year around the clock, you literally can. The start of 2007 will happen 37 times around the world, giving you 37 excuses to raise a celebratory glass or two.
It will all kick off at 10am GMT on December 31st 2006 when Kiritimati on the Christmas Islands will enter 2007 first.
Fifteen minutes later at 10.15am, Chatham Island outside New Zealand will be the second place on earth to move into 2007.
At 11am GMT, New Zealand, Tonga and the South Pole base will be among the next to go, followed an hour later by parts of eastern Russia, Fiji and some Pacific Islands.
