The New Year's Day Parade in London will begin with Roger Bramble, deputy lord lieutenant of Greater London, reading a special message from the Queen.
Mr Bramble will address the London crowds before Big Ben strikes noon, as a prelude to the festive celebrations.
Thousands of people, including a number of individuals who will have celebrated the turn of the year in England's capital city, will be lining the streets for the event.
Attractions at the 2007 event include a giant Phoenix from Ireland and the Lion Of Arras from France, which will both tower over London's streets as the capital's residents watch on.
Furthermore, a cultural kaleidoscope to capture the festive spirit from all corners of the world will be on show.
Executive director of the event Bob Bone said the 2006 parade "was our best year ever" with "a massive turn out in London"
"Feedback [was] fantastic – our website has been inundated with goodwill messages from viewers in far flung places," he added.
