Businesses could see their logos appear at corporate events following a recent plea for sponsorship by the Nottinghamshire Police Authority.
With potential market exposure of around five-and-a-half hours at a time, the authority is appealing to businesses to sponsor its mounted section.
Police horses appear all over the country at many high-profile events where businesses may be visiting for corporate entertainment, such as football matches and the Lord Mayor's Parade.
The police authority has ten equine representatives, which are sent across the country, including London, where horses can be sponsored singularly.
John Clarke, chairman of the Nottinghamshire Police Authority, highlighted the exposure that businesses could gain from such endorsement.
"The mounted section is undoubtedly highly visible," he said.
"At approximately 17 hands high and weighing in at around half a ton, police horses are there to be noticed."
"A company wishing to sponsor either the whole section or – as happens in the City of London – just one horse at a time, would see considerable benefits," he added.
