Online Forums Cook Up Christmas Pudding Advice

It looks like Christmas party hosts are planning ahead. Christmas pudding tips are high on the list of online forums. American cyber guests are also tapping into advice on this traditional English dessert.
Websites have been created to discuss the superstitions and traditions around the Christmas Pudding. One recounts the symbols of the pudding: “It is said that setting the brandy aflame represents Christ’s passion. A sprig of holly as garnish is a reminder of his Crown of Thorns. Holly supposedly brought good luck and had special healing powers. It was also often planted near houses in the belief that it protected the inhabitants.” Christmas party hosts who are considering serving this special dessert can find plenty of advice online. One site recommends: “Preparing the pudding now will mean one less thing to worry about nearer the big day and, without the pressure of a million other things to do, can even be relaxing and enjoyable! Just get your largest bowl, put in all the ingredients and let the whole family have a stir until it’s all mixed together – and don’t forget to make a wish while you’re at it.” Christmas party hosts should take care to soak the fruit for at least 12 hours before stirring in the dry ingredients and cooking the pudding.
