Scouting around for colleagues' opinions is one way to ensure an office party goes with a bang, according to one set of experts.
Office party organisers at the Washington Business Journal acknowledge the difficulty in "pleasing all of the people, all of the time".
However, obtaining feedback on previous bashes is one key way to improve workers' office party experiences, they note.
"People usually don't complain; they give us constructive criticism. We try to take it into account for the next time," Laura Dulski, a party planner for an architecture company, points out to the publication.
Organisers keen to pull off the perfect office party are advised to consider their colleagues' holiday plans, dietary requirements and even their favourite ice-cream flavours when arranging an event.
Recent research by an online events company also suggested that planning ahead should be a key consideration when it comes to perfecting an office party, particularly at Christmas.
