The co-writers of hit comedy 'The Hangover' have pitched a brand new film to Hollywood heavyweights Dreamworks, which features an office Christmas party going horribly wrong.
Jon Lucas and Scott Moore also wrote 'Four Christmases' - which saw Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn playing a couple who must visit all four of their divorced parents' families on Christmas day - so they are well versed in creating Christmas chaos with a difference for the big screen.
They have teamed up with Will Speck and Josh Gordon, the director team behind the film Blades of Glory, to plan the new blockbuster.
But some critics are already saying that the new film sounds like nothing more than a hybrid – merely the writer's two previous films – The Hangover and Four Christmases – combined.
Empire magazine says, “The pair really needs to stop it with the party-gone-awry format. Because now it feels like they’re just mashing old projects together to create 'new' films.
“Festive chaos twinned with debauched behaviour just sounds like they’ve got a giant board filled with words in their office and are grabbing two off the list randomly to see what fits,” added the magazine.
