The 22nd movie in the
James Bond franchise - Quantum of Solace - will receive its first public screening at the BFI London Film festival on Wednesday 29th October; at the same time the movie receives its world premiere.
The movie - Daniel Craig's second outing as Ian Fleming's
James Bond 007 - will be shown as part of The Times BFI London Film festival which is now in its 52nd year.
Frost/Nixon marks a return to directing for ex-Happy Days star Ron Howard and opens proceedings at the festival, following the story of how Sir David Frost (as is) tried and eventually succeeded in getting ex-United States President Richard Nixon to consent to a series of televised interviews in which he hinted at his part in the Watergate scandal; a scandal that saw Nixon become America's first (and only to date) president to resign.
Other films including controversial director Oliver Stone's biopic of President Bush W will also air at the festival which has become something of a tradition and indeed something of a pilgrimage for film-goers throughout the United Kingdom.
The festival kicks off on Wednesday 15th October with the first showing of Frost/Nixon and continues until Thursday 30th October.
