New Year\'s Eve Wedding for Charlotte Church

Welsh singer Charlotte Church is to marry her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson in a romantic New Year's Eve ceremony, according to reports.

The couple, who recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Ruby Megan Henson, will tie the knot in front of close family and friends. The location has not been disclosed but it is rumoured to be Castell Coch, a small castle outside of Cardiff, Charlotte Church’s home town.

Guests have been told to keep the date free and will be told what the location is by text message two days before the nuptials are due to take place. Charlotte has asked her mother Maria to give her away, while Gavin's sister Sarah is to be a bridesmaid.

Not everyone is to be invited to the happy occasion, however: Charlotte has reportedly banned her fiancé’s rugby team-mates from the celebrations. Gavin was with the players from his rugby club Ospreys on the night he allegedly kissed shop assistant Tracy Donnelly, who later sold her story to the press. The alleged incident is said to have occurred while the team were staying at the La Mon Hotel and Country Club near Belfast.

A source told Britain's Star magazine: “Charlotte does not want anything to ruin her big day. She thinks his Ospreys mates are a bad influence on Gavin and has made it completely clear to him that they are not welcome.”
