Alternative band the Flaming Lips have revealed tickets for their New Year's Eve Freakout No. 3 will go on sale tomorrow (September 19th).
The event is to take place in Oaklahoma City, where the band are originally from, and promises to be filled with "balloons, confetti and psychedelic sounds".
Lead singer Wayne Coyne tells the Daily Mail he still lives in the city, where an alley in its arts district has been named after the Flaming Lips.
Furthermore, one of the band's most popular songs, Do You Realise?, was voted the official rock song of Oaklahoma.
"I never thought we'd become so respectable, because we're basically the same weirdoes we always were," Coyne quips.
"But I can see how our success has been inspiring for other local artists."
Plans for the New Year's bash were unveiled as the band prepare to release their latest album, entitled Embryonic.
