New DVD includes office Christmas party episode

 The Office series two, US version, is now out on DVD, containing an episode called Christmas Party.
The festive programme is also one of a number of episodes to have background commentary as part of the DVD's extras package. Based on the UK version of the Office, starring Ricky Gervais, the US-made programme echoes the antics of characters David Brent, Gareth and Tim. On the cover of the DVD set, which contains all 22 episodes on four discs, the Boston Globe describes the series as "Painfully funny". As offices plan their Christmas parties for the forthcoming celebratory period, they can take a look at the Office DVD to see what festive activities the characters get up to. In the original UK Office series, the Christmas special saw Tim and Dawn get together – an event that had been threatening to happen since the first episode. The Christmas special, which involves a Christmas party in Slough, also shows how David Brent's career has changed since leaving his job at Wernham Hogg paper products.
