Christmas parties could become "sumptuous and glamorous" this year, following the launch of Marks & Spencer's new Christmas range of clothing from George Davies and Per Una.
Focusing on glamour, as opposed to "pretty femininity", the range includes party and cocktail dresses for women and directional tuxedos for men, reports the Scotsman.
According to Edinburgh stylist Laura Wilton, the range is set at "affordable prices".
"George Davies and Per Una has made such a difference to Marks & Spencer and high-street fashion in general," Ms Wilton told the Scotsman.
"The range bridges the gap between high fashion and high quality clothing, something that was difficult to find before."
"This winter the focus is on drama as we move away from soft and pretty femininity, and Christmas is set to be sumptuous and glamorous. The palette is predominantly dark but electrified with golds and creams," she added.
Other London stores, including Harrods and Selfridges, have already installed their Christmas sections in preparation for the festive season.
