Love London party celebrates New Year early

Stars from the showbiz world braved the rain this week to hit the London party to celebrate the last year of activity at one of the capital's leading tourist attractions.

Popstar VV Brown and fashion designer Jade Jagger were joined by Just Jack and Hot Chip's Ben Grimes at the London Eye bash, appropriately titled the Love London party.

Attendees were greeted by black taxis and mock London policemen, who escorted them inside the party with umbrellas.

Typical English foods were served for the guests to nibble on, including beef and Yorkshire puddings, whitebait with tartare sauce, bangers and mash and fish and chips.

One of the newest London Eye attractions enjoyed by those at the party was its 4D cinema, launched recently by Merlin Entertainments.

A four-minute film produced for visitors to the London Eye features 3D aerial footage of the capital, as well as the famous New Year's Eve firework display for anyone wanting to experience some New Year's party fun early.

Merlin Entertainments' David Sharpe said of the phenomenon: "The innovative new 4D cinema and bespoke film will offer visitors more value for their money, along with creating an exciting and memorable journey."
