Members of the UK's public services are gearing up for a massive London party this weekend, all in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.
Organised by Lance Corporal James Wharton, an openly gay British Army serviceman who appeared on the cover of Soldier magazine this year, the party in London will feature a raffle with a magnum of champagne for the winner.
The Soho bash is aimed at gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual members of the armed forces and emergency services, though anyone is welcome and attendees are free to bring guests.
"Help for Heroes needs people like us to support them, because if we didn't, thousands of injured servicemen would be left to rely on the minimal support they receive off the government to fund all the caring costs," Lance Corporal Wharton remarked to the Pink News website.
"The charity is doing fantastic work supplying resources for extremely wounded soldiers on the lifelong course, in some cases, of rehabilitation and care."
This week also saw London party regular Kate Moss hit the capital for some Grease-themed revelry.
Mum-of-one Kate was papped with her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince dressed in pink leggings and a leather jacket.
