Leona parties in London

Leona Lewis threw a lavish party in London for friends and family to commemorate the start of her UK tour.

The Bleeding Heart star often shies away from the limelight, but celebrated in style with the £7,000 bash at club Mahiki as she prepares to perform at the O2 arena tomorrow (June 18th).

As it will be the first time Leona has appeared at the high-profile London venue, she marked the occasion with members of her staff as well as friends and family in the VIP area of the exclusive nightspot.

A friend of the singer told the Daily Star that the O2 is a landmark concert for her, as it is one of the most prestigious venues in her hometown.

"Leona likes to have the odd glass of champagne but she's not a massive drinker. But it was the first time she's headlined the O2 and, as London girl, she had all her family and friends out and wanted to celebrate properly," said the pal.

The singer was spotted chatting to Matthew Morrison from the hit TV show Glee, on which Leona is rumoured to be making a cameo appearance.
