Launch your green office scheme with an office party

We have all become more aware of climate change in recent year, and many offices have decided to make changes to their procedures to reduce their environmental impact.

To mark the your new green beginnings, why not throw an office party? The goal is to introduce the new greener office to all employees and to start everyone off with a positive attitude. Make sure all aspects of your office party are environmentally friendly to make the point that this is the way you intend to continue:

* Fair trade food and drink is a great idea. Organic teas and fair trade coffee, along with organic wine and beer and locally produced food can be supplied.

* Using reusable or recycled plates and napkins is a great message to send your colleagues, who may be used to throwing things away a bit too freely.

* A party would not be complete without a game, and an eco-challenge quiz will keep with the theme and teach office workers a bit more about becoming more environmentally aware.

* After the party is over, make sure you use non-toxic cleaners to clear away any mess, and keep them in the office for future use.
