London mayor Boris Johnson is one of the many movers and shakers being targeted by an enterprising businessman keen to keep the spirit of the annual Christmas party alive.
Mike Kershaw is aiming to highlight the importance and "positive benefits" of staff social events and Christmas parties in the lead-up to one of the main seasons in the office party calendar.
"I am concerned about the short term, specifically the next 16 weeks to Christmas," he explained to reporters.
Mr Kershaw added that his two key messages concern the fact "it's okay" to thank staff with a Christmas party, and that Christmas and office parties are proven to offer "excellent return on investment".

Last month, a hotel in Scotland unveiled plans to hold a special Christmas party night in September to give local businesses the chance to try out the venue before booking their festive office party.
Featuring a turkey dinner, crackers, decorations and Christmas music, the bash at the North Queensferry hotel in Dunfermline is due to take place this Friday (4th September).
