Kate Moss continues to up-stage the fashion industry with her Topshop line. Now she has created a line with pieces specifically for Christmas party fashion. The line was revealed on October 18th but will be available in stores this week.
Items include thigh-skimming black dresses and aubergine-colored dresses which are designed by Moss as Christmas party wear.
Rin Simpson with Western Mail reports on Moss’s new Christmas party range: “Her fourth range for the high street chain, it includes floor-length gowns and suits alongside shimmering mini-dresses, and includes more grown up designs, with models wearing loosely draped items, light scarves and a Fedora hat.”
The model reportedly received £3m to create her new range. She first released a clothing line for Topshop in May and added more items in June and October in time for Christmas party shopping.
A spokesman for Topshop says: “Kate Moss has had a huge input in the range from every level, from the design concept of the garments to the fitting and the logo.”
Not everyone is fond of Moss’s range, however. Welsh clothes designer Jeff Banks asked: “Can Kate sharpen a pencil or draw a matchstick man? I wouldn’t put money on it.”
