Starz In Their Eyes singer Just Jack tried to use his celebrity connections to feature
James Bond in the video for new single The Day I Died, it has emerged.
According to the Press Association, the London dweller is friends with Sir Elton John, who called
James Bond star Daniel Craig to ask him to make an appearance.
"We were just laughing at having
James Bond in our video," the singer tells the news provider, explaining that Craig turned out to be unavailable.
Instead of
James Bond, the video ended up featuring Northern Irish actor James Nesbitt.
"He was so perfect - I was so glad that he did it - and he was such a nice guy as well on the day," says Jack.
"He worked really hard and we ended up at 10.30 at night in the dark with him lying in a puddle of water on his back pretending to be dead. We were like 'this geezer's a trooper'."
The singer's
James Bond revelation follows an admission by rock band Muse that they wouldn't mind having "a good go" at recording the theme tune for the follow-up to Quantum of Solace.
