James Bond party raises money for air ambulance
August 24, 2009

A Huddersfield leisure complex owned by Heritage Group, has raised £1,700 by holding a James Bond themed party night at its new Bond suite.

The Lindley business and leisure complex held the event in the new suite to support both the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Huddersfield Town Youth Academy. The event was intended to gather the Heritage Group’s sponsors to dig deep into their pockets to keep the air ambulance in the sky and to continue to provide superior training facilities the town’s young footballers.

Heritage Group’s operations manager, Mandy Barwick says the support for the “keep it up” campaign was overwhelming. She said, “I was overwhelmed with the generosity shown by our sponsors including Yorkshire Bank, the Courtyard Dental Practise and Cutting Technologies, to name but a few and amazed by the turnout on the night. Our guests had a thoroughly enjoyable night and raised an incredible amount in a very short space of time.”

Cammie Batten, the commercial executive of Huddersfield Town says that the event was not only success for raising the much-needed cash, it was also, “really good fun.”
