ITV has won the rights to the hugely-successful
Abba movie Mamma Mia! which was a surprise hit in 2008.
The broadcaster will screen the hit film as part of its deal with NBC Universal International Television Distribution.
Starring Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan, the musical featured a wealth of songs by Swedish pop legends
Abba, inspiring many a themed office party along the way.
The film is just one part of the deal between the two broadcasting giants, which will also see movies such as The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, The Boat That Rocked, Hot Fuzz, Evan Almighty, Public Enemies, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the Bourne action trilogy all coming to ITV.
Zai Bennett, ITV director of digital channels and acquisitions, said: "This is a landmark deal encompassing hundreds of feature films for the entire ITV family of channels. NBC Universal's feature films are a perfect fit with ITV."
Abba is proving to be a popular theme for many celebrations, such as an office party or Christmas party, and is just one of the many packages on offer from Westend Events.
