How to Plan a Chick Flick Party

For women who wish to boycott the romantic pressure of New Year’s Eve, consider planning a Chick Flick New Year’s Eve Party. This is a new twist on a traditional New Year’s Eve Party. The only guests will be female so there’s no embarrassing moment at midnight when women without dates are left standing without a kiss.

Pick a theme for Chick Flick Night such as oldies but goodies including Fried Green Tomatoes and Pretty Woman. Another option is to select Christmas themed chick flicks such as The Holiday starring Jude Law, Jack Black and Cameron Diaz. After you’ve selected a theme, create invitations using 8x10 glossy paper. The invitations can be made on a computer using pictures of the chick flicks you might be watching.

After all guests arrive and have selected a cocktail from a cocktail “menu” you’ve prepared before hand, have them vote on the chick flicks they wish to watch during the evening. Each guest can also bring along their favorite chick flicks, just make sure to indicate that on the invitations.

Midnight could be celebrated with pink champagne which can easily be prepared by adding a dot of red food colouring to a glass of bubbly. A chick flick New Year’s Eve party also requires certain apparel. Invite the guests to wear their girlie pjs and arrive in slippers.
