Prince Harry has begged ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy to take him back in a series of tearful phone calls, and wants them to spend New Year’s Eve together.
Harry sent a £150 bouquet of flowers to 22-year-old Chelsy with a note saying, "Sorry, love HRH xxx" - a reference to Chelsy's nickname for him.
The prince made three emotional late-night calls to Chelsy last week, asking her to give him another chance. Chelsy dumped the prince earlier this month after becoming frustrated with his party-going habits and lack of commitment.
The 23-year-old royal has begged Zimbabwean Chelsy to let him spend New Year's Eve with her on the exclusive Bazaruto island, close to Mozambique, where her family have reserved five villas.
A friend of Harry's reportedly told the News of the World newspaper: "He says being away from Chelsy hurts like hell. She said he might have a chance if he stops flirting with other girls, spends more time with her and answers his phone when they are apart."
The prince's brother William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton are said to be determined to see the couple get back together. A source told Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Both William and Kate want them to be a couple. They see them as a good influence on each other."
