Gwyneth Paltrow writes guide to London venues

Actress-turned lifestyle guru, Gwyneth Paltrow has written a guide, on her Goop website, listing her favourite hotels, restaurants and pubs in London.

Gwyneth lives in Belsize Park with her pop star husband Chris Martin and children Moses and Apple. She has recently launched a lifestyle website on which she gives readers tips about clothes, food and travel and its on this website that Paltrow has shares her secret A-list guide to London’s hot spots.

Her list of hotels, which she admits are ‘pricey’, includes the Berkeley, Blakes and The Hempel Hotel. She also recommends restaurants including several Japanese options like Zuma and Chisou, along with celeb-chef-run Locanda Locatelli. Belgravia-based upmarket Indian, Amaya, also gets a mention, as does La Petit Maison, which serves tapas-style southern French food.

As for Gwynny’s favourite watering holes, it may surprise you to hear that she recommends some very traditional, old style pubs, commenting on fire places and ‘great beer.’ The Grenadier in Belgravia gets a nod her ‘favourite pub in London’ and The Engineer in trendy Primrose Hill is cited as serving ‘great ale and good modern, British cuisine.’
