Going to more parties over the Christmas period will enhance an individual's chances of finding a date for New Year's Eve, according to new research.
Attending all party invites means there is an increased chance of meeting fellow singletons, dating experts at the It's Just Lunch organisation suggest.
Furthermore, the company's research indicates that 67 per cent of single people would rather have a date on New Year's Eve than at any other festive season party.
The company also offers a number of other tips regarding dating during the holiday season, including advice on keeping the boss happy.
If offered to take the manager's son or daughter out for a drink or meal, employees should make their excuses and say that they are already seeing someone, according to 21 per cent of individuals questioned by the firm.
It's Just Lunch was founded in 1991 and specialises in the arrangement of first dates and creating an atmosphere where singletons can feel comfortable meeting new people.
