Edinburgh prepares itself for massive office party

Edinburgh is bracing itself for the launch of this year’s Rat Race Urban Adventure Weekend, which is the team-building event to end all team-building events.

The Rat Race takes place on 17 and 18 July and will kick off with the ludicrous “fun run in our work clothes" event. This will take place on the Friday night before the team building weekend and will involve hundreds of workers running a 4km fun-run in whatever attire they may have been wearing for work that day – or what they wish they could wear to work!

Previous years have seen fireman, surgeons and suited and booted business people all legging it around the city.

The team building weekend will climax with the annual Grand Office Party’ which will see those taking part enjoying all the usual office party shenanigans – including a live DJ and MC, plenty of food and even more drink!

This year’s organiser, Jim Mee, stated, “I am also confident that our new Edinburgh Rat Run, a winning formula of fresh air, exercise and office fancy dress in a stunning location, will create a party, full of camaraderie and bite, to launch the 2010 Rat Race weekend in style.”
