Duncan Bannatyne bans Christmas parties

It has been reported that Duncan Bannatyne has banned his employees from having any more Christmas parties.

Businessman Duncan Bannatyne is famed for being one of the decision-makers on television’s Dragons' Den, where amongst other wealthy and successful business people he decides whether to fund a business idea brought in by a member of the public. In the course of a programme, he can invest tens of thousands of pounds into a business, making for some very happy programme participants.

However, it seems that his own staff may not be very happy at the moment. Christmas may no longer be the same in the health clubs and hotels Mr Bannatyne runs as he has reportedly banned his staff from having Christmas parties in the future.

Why would he do that?, you may indeed ask yourself. According to Mr Bannatyne the answers is simple: "The last two or three Christmas parties got worse and worse,” he said. "The trouble is, people get drunk and have sex."

Well, well... a Christmas party where people got drunk and amorous. Whatever will happen next? Perhaps there is a touch of the moralistic Mr Scrooge lurking in the Dragons’ Den.
