DJ Neev - Profile
Young, brassy and hungry are three words that can be used to describe a new female talent that is emerging on the airwaves. She can be heard daily as 'the voice' of Kiss FM.
Music and radio have always been Neev's passions. At the age of 18, she joined her local station Reading 107FM where she co-presented and produced a weekly show, was the 'traffic and travel' girl and assisted in producing the drive time show. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength, producing and presenting regularly on Sunrise Radio, Westside FM, BBA 87.9FM, BBC Asian Network and Star 106.6FM under the alias Tara K.
In 2005, Neev joined Kiss100FM in London as producer and DJ for the Sony Radio Award nominated Rishi Rich Project show. Not only did she present the weekly 'What's On' feature but also used her extensive music knowledge to build the show.
With her foot in the door, Neev's voice and personality were quickly recognised and her enthusiasm was rewarded when she was offered the station sound contract, effectively making her the voice of Kiss present in all voiceovers, jingles, promo and branding for the EMAP station.
At the end of last year, Neev began doing freelance production work for Kiss on daytime and specialist shows starting with Kiss breakfast and this year the plot thickened when she began actually presenting shows on Kiss FM.
Neev embarked on the first stage of her presenting career for Kiss landing the 'early breakfast show' slot which aired 3-6am 7 days a week but more recently the head of programming for the station, saw her potential and Neev's dreams of a daytime slot are now a reality. She is currently entertaining listeners on Kiss 100 every Monday-Friday at 12-3pm and Sundays at 12-4pm.
Still only 25, Neev's ambitions do not stop here. With her humorous, honest and sassy persona, she's a breath of fresh air perfect for presenting on TV as well as hosting events and award ceremonies. Her style is eclectic incorporating her love of many styles of music. Neev stands out with her unbelievable energy, not forgetting that great voice.
