Disney opens Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Walt Disney World in Florida has released it’s official roster of special Christmas events and activities for 2010, with the highlight being Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom

A special Christmas-themed parade, “Holiday Wishes, Celebrate the Spirit of the Season” kicks off Mickey's Christmas party, followed by a fireworks display, complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, live shows, special character meet and greet opportunities, and a forecast for flurries of snow on Main Street.

The huge party takes place on November 8, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 28, 30 and Dec. 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17 and 19. The evening kicks off at 7 p.m. and continues until midnight. Guests can visit Disneyworld.com/christmasparty for more information.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Spectacle of Dancing Lights

The “Spectacle of Dancing Lights” is a ‘not to be missed’ holiday event taking place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from November 8 until January 3 2011. Dancing lights and animated displays will be set against a backdrop of Christmas songs in a display that Show Director John Phelan calls “the ultimate Americana Holiday lights display.”
