There are reports an American company is planning to put Robots on the market by the Christmas party season. It is reported the chairman of iRobot, Helen Greiner, will launch two new consumer robots in the next 3 months. Greiner apparently wouldn’t offer much information at the JPMorgan Technology Conference in Boston on Monday, saying she wanted to have a proper launch when the product is ready.
Will consumers be able buy a robot that helps with planning a Christmas party? Or perhaps a device that assists with cleaning for a Christmas party? Greiner says: “We are going to launch them from our Web space, and they are not floor-cleaning robots. They are different types of robots with mechanical features.”
iRobot already offers consumers a range of robots that vacuum, mop the floor and sweep the garage. Some of the robots have special features which allows them to recognize the type of floor they are cleaning, whether it be wood, carpet or tile. iRobot says the new robots will be on the market in time for the Christmas party season.
