Plans for company Christmas parties for children are always left to the last minute, according to a North London-based distribution company.
Statistics from Abbey Distribution show that 75 per cent of company's parties did not organise these events until November.
Abbey Distribution has been preparing for the Christmas season, planning, buying and wrapping a variety of gifts for children.
Company Christmas parties for children allow workers' offspring to play together, as well as meeting Santa Claus.
They generally take place in the three weeks leading to Christmas Day, the same period office Christmas parties for staff are taking place.
Clive Thomas, managing director of Abbey Distributors, questioned why companies do not organise their children's parties sooner.
"We all know when Christmas is coming, we all know how many days are left to go for shopping, we all know that to plan a company party and gifts takes time," he says.
"So why is it that the company party is the very last thing on the list?"
