In light of some bad press about firms spending money on office Christmas parties, events companies have decided to sing the praises of this festive tradition.
‘Say Thank You at Christmas’ is a campaign that has been launched by The Concerto Group, which is intended to make Christmas parties more popular this year, despite the recession.
Holding Christmas parties for staff is an effective way to say thanks you for their hard work throughout the year and the campaign hopes to highlight this fact.
The Concerto Group’s chairman, Mike Kershaw, explains that it is in these hard economic times, when pay rises are rare and people are expected to work harder to keep companies afloat, that a Christmas party is particularly important.
Kershaw says, “Say Thank You at Christmas is a straightforward message: the annual Christmas party is the perfect way to say thank you to your staff. It has been a very challenging year, for virtually every business or industry, so this year more than ever companies should be saying ‘thank you' to the people they employ and the Christmas party is a cost-effective way of doing this."
The campaign is being backed by Event magazine, one of the leading publications in the events industry.
