Oxygen Games has announced plans to release two celebrity-hosted quizzes ready for the Christmas party season.
Cheggers’ Party Quiz and Alan Hansen’s Sports Challenge will be in the shops from November 2007, just in time for the Christmas party season, and will be available on popular Christmas party consoles, Wii™ and PlayStation®2, as well as on CD ROM for those playing on a PC.
Cheggers’ Party Quiz contains thousands of entertainment questions, hosted by Keith Chegwin. Oxygen’s CEO Jim Scott said: “Incredibly marketable, Cheggers is the perfect choice for the Christmas party season’s interactive party game purchasers.”
For those who prefer sports quizzes, Oxygen is to release Alan Hansen’s Sports Challenge. The company is billing this quiz as “guaranteed to put sports know-it-alls’ knowledge to the ultimate test.”
The game involves soccer pundit Hansen challenging players to face his sometimes acerbic wit. Players must try to avoid being scored as ‘diabolical’, and must apply their sporting knowledge to come top of the quiz leader-board.
Jim Scott said: “Hansen is a legend, and with his natural dry wit he will bring a great twist to the world of serious sports quizzes. Not only is he respected by men but the ladies love him too!”
Oxygen Games is based in Northamptonshire. The games they produce are designed to be played on all major console platforms and deliver contemporary content, featuring music, sport and celebrity personalities.
