Punk rock legend Billy Idol has released a festive album containing songs which can be played on New Year's Eve.
Included on the record is traditional New Year's Eve anthem Auld Lang Syne, which is sung with a Billy Idol twist, reports Undercover Music News.
Songs on the album which will have more relevance in the week leading up to the new year celebrations include White Christmas, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and Let It Snow.
Undercover Music News describes the product from the singer, who made his name in the 1980s with songs such as White Wedding, as "a kind of Hoff-style self mockery".
Billy Idol indicates that he "enjoyed the challenge" of making the seasonal songs, drawing attention to the way he could interpret them in his own style.
The songs were recorded before the singer began his 2006 tour of Europe and he suggests on his official website that he hopes everyone listening to them has as much fun as his band did in making them.
