Playboy hops onto the high street today. The brand has a grand opening for its store on London’s Oxford Street, just in time for the Christmas party and holiday season.
The brand was a hit in the 60’s when the Playboy mansion was in full swing and Hugh Hefner founded the brand and magazine. He called Playboy magazines “the hand-book for the urban male.”
For something spicy to wear to a Christmas party or intimate holiday night in, The London Playboy store offers a boutique for men and women.
The retail store is the 8th in the world dedicated to Playboy and joins others in cities such as Las Vegas, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Hong Kong.
The store opens today showcasing sexy clothing, all with the famous Playboy logo. Store attendants will suggest different options for Christmas party gifts and presents for the holiday season.
The Oxford Street store will also sell home furnishings and lifestyle and entertainment products that are eye catching but not always saucy.
Playboy’s website says the store isn’t meant to be intimidating for men or women. In fact, in time for the Christmas party season, lads have their own area of the shop. Men can browse t-shirts, socks, neck ties and pants with the Playboy logo.
