Pop pixie Kylie Minogue hit London's Hyde Park for the BBC's
Abba tribute concert yesterday (September 13th).
The 41-year-old, who described the opportunity to perform
Abba classics as "a dream come true", sang 1980 hit Super Trouper and was later joined by the Swedish group's songwriter Benny Andersson for a rendition of When All Is Said And Done.
Original member Bjorn Ulvaeus was also present for the three-hour bash, called Thank You For The Music: A Celebration of the Music of
Abba.
Before the concert, which was attended by nearly 40,000 people, Kylie told reporters: "[Abba's] music has played such a great part in my life from a very early age and I'm thrilled I'll be able to share that with them personally."
Her one-time Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan also graced the event for a performance of I Have A Dream, while pop veteran Lulu sang Gimme Gimme Gimme and Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow belted out One Night In Bangkok.
The West End cast of
Abba musical Mamma Mia! also showed up for the tribute, which was hosted by Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans.
At the end of the evening, Bjorn Ulvaeus thanked the audience for an "unforgettable experience".
